Create while on break: Pelham Art Center offers fun arts activities at winter break camp Feb. 19-22

Editor’s note: the following press release was provided by the Pelham Art Center.

Keep your kids creatively engaged while out of school during winter break. Send them to the Art Center for fun activities and different ways to explore art. Choose from Art Camp for ages 3-7 and Printmaking or Photography for Animation! for kids 8-14.

Art Camp stretches creativity and combines a dynamic mix of art and movement. Campers will happily experiment in a real studio setting with clay, paint, and mixed media. Each day is a different adventure in the realm of art.  Art Camp will run mornings (9AM-2PM), Tuesday-Friday, February 19-22, 2019.

In the afternoons, older kids ages 8-14 can take classes to explore a new medium. In Printmaking with Donna Ross, Tuesday to Friday, 2:30PM – 5:00PM, students create their own designs using the techniques of relief, stamps, and monotypes. Learn to repeat images for fine art images and cards. In Photography for Animation! with the Nerdy Duo, Tuesday to Friday, 2:00PM – 5:00PMstudents will create short, photo-based animations using different techniques. Participants will receive digital copies of their animations to add to their portfolio and share on social media. This STEAM class incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics for a dynamic student experience inspiring inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. This class will develop a life skill they will use over and over.
