Caitlin Kindig, former co-editor-in-chief of the Pel Mel at Pelham Memorial High School, has been named editor-in-chief of the McGill Tribune at McGill University in Montreal.

Kindig started out as a contributor at the Tribune and became news editor before being named to the top post. She’s worked on the newspaper since 2017.

“If it wasn’t for my experience as co-editor-in-chief of the Pel Mel at Pelham Memorial High School, I wouldn’t have started contributing to a university newspaper, much less leading one,” said Kindig. “I’m extremely excited for what’s to come.”

Kindig has worked as an editorial intern at Investopedia, a communications intern at Habitat for Humanity and serves as a board member of Pelham Examiner Inc. She will graduate in 2021 with a B.A. in English and cultural studies.
