Petition calling for November village elections turned in to Pelham Manor Village Board

A 500-plus-signature petition calling for a referendum on moving village elections from March to November was presented to the Pelham Manor Village Board on Sept. 10 by Toby Marxuach-Gusciora.

If certified, the petition would put a referendum on the November ballot to shift the election of the mayor and village board members from the traditional March date to general election day in November.

Marxuach-Gusciora said Village Manager John Pierpont has 10 days to certify the petition. Marxuach-Gusciora had previously said 400 signatures were required to put up the referendum.

A similar petition was being circulated in the Village of Pelham.
