David O’ Sullivan – Sept. 22

David O’ Sullivan of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2018.

Born in the Bronx to David Jerome O’ Sullivan and Anna Maikish, David was the oldest of three children. He was raised in the Bronx, where he attended St. Helena’s High School. Upon graduation, he worked as an actor for several agencies. It was during his acting tenure that he would meet his soulmate, Dorothy Galligan. After an eight-year courtship, the couple would get engaged and later marry on Oct. 20, 1973.

David and Dorothy would live on 57th street in Manhattan before moving to New Rochelle in 1986. David was a self-made man, working many different careers. From the acting and modeling business, to the bar business and later owning a jewelry store in Queens, David was a man of many talents. Although he worked many jobs, his true passion was acting.

David loved everything nautical. He loved to spend time at the ocean or sit at the beach. If he wasn’t traveling or going to the theater with his wife, you could catch him rooting for the Yankees or the New York Giants. He travelled the world and especially loved Ireland and Italy.

David will be remembered as a kind, handsome, generous and genuine gentleman. He loved to dream. He had no false ego and was always there to help a friend in need.

David is survived by his wife and soulmate, Dorothy; his brother, Stephen; his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Bobby.
