October 16, 2018 – Pelham, NY – The first-ever Fall Restaurant Week sponsored by the Pelham Chamber of Commerce will take place in Pelham, NY from Monday, October 22nd through Thursday, October 25th. The Chamber has partnered with Pelham Together on the inaugural event to support their ‘Disconnect to Connect’ campaign and participating restaurants will offer a free dessert to all diners who put away their phones, tablets, and other devices during dinner in bags provided by Pelham Together. To date, participating restaurants include Bangkok City, Cantina Lobos, Marcello’s Wood-Fired Pizza and Restaurant, Pelham Pizza, Rockwells, Sakura, and Villagio Trattoria. Additional restaurants still have time to join and an up-to-date list of participants can be found at http://www.pelchamber.com/ and on the Chamber’s facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ThePelhamChamberofCommerce/

“We saw with the success of Wolfs Walk that the Pelham community is eager to support local businesses and restaurants,” said Clayton Bushong, President of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce. “Our Fall Restaurant Week is another opportunity for people to get out an experience all the great establishments we have in our town and the partnership with Pelham Together’s ‘Disconnect to Connect’ campaign was a natural fit.”

The ‘Disconnect to Connect’ community-wide initiative will encourage adults, teens, and kids to power-off our technology, and to share face-to-face time with family and friends. The campaign kicks-off on Thursday, October 18th at The Picture House Regional Film Center with a screening and discussion of the documentary Like which delves into the complex subject of social media and teenage life. To help grow connections at meal time, people can access cards with conversation starters and fun, family games to play at home or when dining out at http://www.pelhamtogether.org/
