Oct. 28

2 a.m. – An officer responded to Fifth Avenue and Second Street on report of an aided case of an intoxicated male sleeping in the park. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the man, who stated he drank a fifth of brandy that evening and fell asleep in the park. He was transported to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

7:03 a.m. – Officers responded to an Ancon Avenue residence on report of threatening messages concerning the complainant. Complainant, in the presence of her mother, advised that she has had an ongoing dispute with another party and both parties have a “Stay Away” order from Pelham Memorial High School in which said order states that both parties refrain from talking to and about each other on social media platforms. Complainant advised she learned that this other party was threatening to harm both her and her mother via Snapchat. Complainant provided a screenshot of the message, in which the party said, “I will hurt her and her mother,” referring to the complainant. Complainant further stated she was fearful that the party would, in fact, confront her in school. Officers conducted a follow-up and spoke with the party in the presence of her father at their residence. Officer advised both the party and her father that screenshots of the threats were made and presented to police. Party insisted that the comments made on Snapchat were not real and that she has no intention of causing harm to the complainant or her mother. Complainant to follow up with PMHS regarding the “Stay Away” order; incident referred to juvenile officer detective for a follow up.

Oct. 29

8:03 p.m. – Officers responded to Storer Avenue and Eighth Street on report of street bikes and vehicles drag racing. Officers canvassed the area and were unable to locate the reported vehicle or motorcycle.

Oct. 30

8:56 a.m. – Officers were dispatched to the Mobile gas station at 30 Lincoln Ave. on report of a larceny in the past. Complainant stated she observed an unknown male enter the business, take two Four Loko drinks and place them in his pockets. When the unknown male exited the business, the complainant ran after him and told him she would phone police if he did not return both drinks. The unknown male handed back one drink and turned and ran with the other still in his pocket. He was last seen running into Mount Vernon, described as approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall, heavyset, wearing jeans, a black shirt, a blue zip-up hoodie and a green hat. A canvass of the area yielded negative results.

9:23 p.m. – An officer was traveling northbound on First Avenue on routine patrol when he observed a suspect known to him standing in the driveway of a residence, appearing to be on his phone. The officer did have knowledge that the suspect had an active warrant out of Mount Vernon, and Pelham Police had been directed by Westchester County Family Court to serve the suspect with a summons. The suspect’s active warrant was confirmed with the Mount Vernon Police Department. Officers approached the suspect, demanded he show his hands and advised him he was under arrest for a warrant out of Mount Vernon. As officers approached, the suspect got up and ran through the backyard of a residence, and at one point, slipped and fell to the ground. Suspect was handcuffed and searched, and 23 clear plastic bags containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana were removed from his front jacket pockets. Suspect was transported to the police station and booked and processed, and scheduled to be arraigned in court the following morning.

10:33 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to a Second Avenue residence on report of suspicious persons. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a party, who was a contractor conducting work on the residence and stated he was just picking up metal pipes. The homeowner arrived on scene and confirmed that the contractors were conducting work on the house and were just picking up some materials.

11:59 p.m. – An officer observed a suspicious vehicle at Lincoln Avenue and Fifth Avenue. Vehicle was parked and occupied by two parties, sleeping. Parties were employees of a nearby business and were sent on their way.

Oct. 31

2:53 a.m. – An officer observed two individuals idling on foot on Pelhamdale Avenue. Upon stopping them, officer did identify the individuals as local residents and sent them on their way.

8:25 a.m. – A resident reported several speeding vehicles in the area of Colonial Avenue and Corlies Avenue. He believed the vehicle or vehicles did not comply with the crossing guard’s commands at that location. An officer was dispatched and advised that all appeared to be in order after speaking with the crossing guard.

1 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to Hutchinson Elementary School to assist with the Halloween Parade. Assistance provided.

4:42 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to a Washington Avenue residence for a report of a suspicious person in the past. Complainant stated her babysitter saw a person with latex gloves and a mask at the front door at approximately 1 p.m. Upon speaking with her husband, complainant was notified that it was the exterminator who came without advising her. All in good order.

8:52 p.m. – Officers responded to a Cliff Avenue residence on report of a group of disorderly teens. A resident called and stated they were throwing pumpkins in the street and scaring patrons in vehicles. Teens were gone upon officer arrival.

9:16 p.m. – Officers responded to track 3 of the Pelham train station for a request for assistance from MTA Police. MTA Police requested Pelham Police hold a party because he allegedly assaulted another party. Assistance was provided.

Nov. 1

5:57 a.m. – An officer observed a suspicious party on Fifth Avenue. He was checked for warrants or wants and cleared, and turned out to just be waiting for an Uber.

9:31 a.m. – A resident of Cliff Avenue walked into the police station and advised that money totaling $60 was taken from his vehicle the previous night. He stated that at 8 p.m., he had left his vehicle unlocked in his driveway, and when he checked his car that morning, he noticed items were moved and money was missing.

5:34 p.m. – Received a call from a resident of a parking complaint of an illegally parked vehicle on Loring Avenue. An officer was dispatched and advised all was in order and the vehicle was parked legally.

Nov. 2

3 a.m. – An officer on patrol observed a vehicle parked on the north side of Fifth Street and was notified that it was a stolen vehicle. Officer confirmed that the vehicle was stolen out of New York City on Oct. 28 and further confirmed with the NYPD Stolen Property Unit. A canvass of the area yielded negative results for any suspects. Westchester Collision arrived on scene and towed the vehicle, and the owner was to be contacted.

5:37 a.m. – Officers responded to a Linden Avenue residence on report of an aided case. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant, who complained of tightness in her chest. Complainant transported to White Plains Hospital for further medical evaluation.

7:05 a.m. – Officers were dispatched to a Fifth Avenue address on report of an aided case. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant, who complained of shortness of breath. The Fire Department provided oxygen, and complainant refused medical attention on arrival of EMS.

Nov. 3

12:03 a.m. – An officer observed a suspicious person in the area of Sparks Avenue. The individual was interviewed, and all appeared to be in order; he was outside his residence and returned home for the evening.

4:52 a.m. – An officer observed a vehicle illegally parked on Seventh Street. Two individuals occupying the vehicle were identified, and one returned with an active warrant out of White Plains for disorderly conduct. White Plains Police Department was contacted and confirmed the active warrant. The individual was advised to step out of the car was placed in handcuffs and then in the police vehicle. He was transported to the police station, processed and then later picked up by White Plains Police.

10:24 a.m. – Received a call from a First Street resident advising that in front of his apartment door are pants, IDs, a wallet and even financial cards, and that no one has heard from the tenant at the location. Officers were dispatched and made contact with the tenant, who advised he was out the previous night and did not remember leaving those items outside. All in order.
