Mabel (Mindy) C. Nyborg passed away on Aug. 1, 2018, at her home in Pelham, N.Y., at the age of 84. A longtime resident of Pelham, her family moved from the Bronx when she was young and lived on First Avenue. She was a fourth grade teacher in Scarsdale, and later she was a substitute teacher. She is predeceased by her husband, George L. Nyborg Jr., and her parents, Albert Carlson and Mabel (Hartman) Carlson. She is survived by her two sons, Chip Nyborg (Krisha) and David Nyborg (Joanne); four granddaughters, Juliet, Sophia, Katie and Danielle; her brother, Bill Carlson, and her niece and nephew, Adrianne Wyatt and Eric Carlson.

The family is having a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Huguenot Memorial Church Columbarium, 901 Pelhamdale Ave., Pelham, N.Y., 10803.
