School board to get update on Hutchinson School design at Tuesday meeting

The Pelham Board of Education will hear an update on the schematic design for the new Hutchinson School from architect Russell Davidson of KG&D during its public meeting Tuesday in the Pelham Middle School library, according to a meeting notice from the Pelham Public Schools.

Davidson will also discuss other projects in the capital improvement bond that passed in May.

“It is also anticipated that the board will adopt goals for the 2018-19 school year, assign liaisons and chairpersons to various board and district committees and hear an update on summer work and facilities,” the notice said. “In addition to Dr. Champ’s superintendent’s report, the agenda may include updates from each school board committee, as well as reports on 21st Century Learning and professional development, networks of support and social-emotional development, and finances and facilities.”

The meeting will start at 8:15 p.m. after an expected 7 p.m. executive session in the superintendent’s conference room at 18 Franklin Place.

On Wednesday, the board members will go on their annual tour of the districts’ schools and facilities.
