Athletes of the Week: Field hockey’s Sara Veteri, Helena White and Elizabeth Potocki and cheerleader Pallavy Franco
Congrats to senior field hockey players Sara Veteri and Helena White, as well as their teammate, junior Elizabeth Potocki, and senior cheerleader Pallavy Franco are the final PMHS Athletes of the Week for the fall season. Veteri excelled at moving the ball down field, propelling many offensive charges. White proved to be a strong defender all season, particularly during sectional games against Rye and John Jay. Potocki was outstanding at the sweeper position and stopped several fast breaks during sectionals. Franco was an enthusiastic and motivated cheerleader, taking it upon herself to design and make bows for the senior cheerleaders as encouragement for their competition. She was flexible in the routine, quickly adapting to last minute changes and pushing through sickness to perform.
